A Calgary man is facing 70 charges in connection to 25 bank machine thefts in Southern Alberta.
The Southern Alberta District Crime Reduction Unit says the 30-year-old drove an electric scooter to all locations, then used an angle grinder or concrete saw to gain access to the ATM. It is estimated he stole more than $15,000 total in break-and-enters in Calgary, Lethbridge and several rural communities, including Raymond, Coaldale, Vulcan, Strathmore and Diamond Valley.

The suspect was arrested on July 14 when he was caught breaking into a Calgary business on 16 Avenue N.W.
David Letourneau-Janveaux faces dozens of charges, including relating to possession of a prohibited weapon., break-and-enter to commit theft, break-and-enter to commit mischief, mischief over $5,000, theft over $5,000 and possession of break-in instruments.
He was remanded into custody and his next court appearance is in Alberta Court of Justice in Calgary on Aug. 16.
