The first and most straightforward means of farming Fleece in Final Fantasy XIV is hunting the flocks of wild Ornery Karakul outside the southern gate of Camp Dragonhead in Coerthas Central Highlands. Specifically, two packs can be found grazing on the southeastern and southwestern slopes near Camp Dragonhead. If players do not wish to wait for the herds to respawn, they can follow the snowy path southward all the way to Griffin Crossing, slaying any Ornery Karakul they see along the road. This technique should net players several dozen bushels of Fleece if their drops are gifted with good RNG.

Farming Fleece In Final Fantasy XIV

Another method of farming Fleece in FFXIV is by completing the Level 45 Levequest, “Bundle Up, It’s Odd out There.” After receiving the quest from K’leytai in Mor Dhona, Weavers must deliver Woolen Deerstalkers to Saint Coinach’s Find, with HQ turn-ins rewarding players with more Gil and XP. Each delivery will net players a guaranteed Fleece ×16, making this method of farming much more reliable than hunting Ornery Karakul.

Still, the Ornery Karakul farming approach can be more lucrative, albeit at the cost of dealing with poor RNG mob drops. Therefore, those looking to try their luck should focus on the hunting route in Coerthas Central Highlands, while FFXIV seeking fixed returns of Fleece should complete the Levequest.
