Georgia players “talked about a bunch of different things,” of a way to honor Willock, according to center Sedrick Van Pran-Granger.
Willock played in every game last season for Georgia when it won its second straight national title and started twice.
Georgia also remembered Willock before the spring game when the offense took an intentional delay of game penalty and lined up without a left guard, the position Willock played.
“It’s kind of hard to fully commemorate somebody that you came in with and this is supposed to be a senior season,” Van Pran-Granger said. “When you do it, you want to make sure you do it right.”
Willock was a back seat passenger in the UGA-rented SUV Chandler drove hours after a national championship celebration. Police said she was racing defensive tackle Jalen Carter at more than 100 miles per hour and registered more than twice the legal limit of alcohol.
Recruiting staffer Tory Bowles sustained significant injuries in the crash and offensive lineman Warren McClendon minor injuries.
Willock’s father and Bowles are suing the UGA Athletic Association and others in separate lawsuits.
