How Sophia Romano, Girlfriend of Justin Gaethje, Faced a Sense of Insecurity in the Presence of Dustin Poirier Following their Initial Encounter at UFC 276 – Update

In a couple of days, UFC returns to Salt Lake City with UFC 291. The card is stacked and filled with some of the craziest matchups. UFC 291 will be headlined by a fight for the BMF belt between Dustin Poirier and Justin Gaethje.

Both fighters are ranked amongst the top 10 lightweight divisions and have a very impressive fight record. Both fighters have previously gone head to head against each other at UFC Fight Night where Poirier won via split decision. Apart from Justin Gaethje, his girlfriend will also not be meeting Dustin Poirier for the first time.

The Highlight was sitting cage side with his girlfriend Sophia Romano at UFC 276. The whole card was headlined by Israel Adesanya and Jared Cannonier and stacked with many great matchups. While Justin Gaethje enjoyed the event, his girlfriend had a different experience.
 

It was her first time watching a fight live and she was seated close to Dustin Poirier. Romano tried taking a video rating her experience of the whole event. While Gaethje gave it a solid 100 his girlfriend went with 7.5 as she was a bit scared due to Dustin Poirier arguing with someone.

“This man in front of us is trying to fight people. I’m scared, I need to go, I don’t know what’s happening,” exclaimed Gaethje’s girlfriend. Sophia could not recognize or was not aware of who was Dustin Poirier given it was her first live event. However, she won’t have an issue recognizing him when Justin Gaethje goes head-to-head against him at UFC 291.

Who is Justin Gaethje’s girlfriend and what does she do? 

UFC lightweight fighter Justin Gaethje is one of the most entertaining fighters on UFC’s roster. Gaethje is called a highlight for a reason as no fight of his is ever considered boring. He is one of the most violent fighters in the UFC and fans always expect electric performances every time he enters the octagon.

The Highlight joined UFC in 2017 and ever since then has earned 11 fight night bonuses for all his 11 appearances. Despite being one of the most entertaining fighters Justin Gaethje has kept his love life very private. However, the lightweight fighter also seems to be making public appearances with his girlfriend Sophia Romano as of late.

Sophia Romano is a social media influencer and has over seventeen thousand followers on Instagram. She has a bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism and a minor in Sociology. According to Romano’s LinkedIn profile, she graduated from Penn State University. 

She later interned at several companies like ABC News, and Sirius XM and also worked as an entertainment writer at Entertainment Scoop. As of now, Romano works full-time as a database coordinator with Warner Bros, Discovery.

While it is not sure when Justin Gaethje started dating Sofia Romano, the highlight appears on his girlfriend’s social media account from time to time. Due to her job, she currently resided in New York City but sometimes travels along with Justin Gaethje for his fights.
