The film was sold to Neon and Hulu in a deal reportedly worth US$17.5 million, making it the most expensive festival deal in history by 69 cents (the previous record was held by The Birth of a Nation). However, sources say that it is actually closer to US$22 million.
The fact that Palm Springs has a 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, with twenty seven critics having weighed in, and had two companies spend so much money just to acquire it shows us what a remarkable film it is.
