“It’s frustrating for him because he doesn’t control it,” coach Kirby Smart said Tuesday. “He runs and does great and everything’s fine and then one sudden movement can set him back and he has has pain and he’s back down.”
McConkey sat out last week’s game when Georgia had 11 different players catches passes in the 48-7 win over UT Martin.
He was second on Georgia with 58 catches for 762 yards and seven touchdowns last season.
Running back Kendall Milton, who played last week after battling a hamstring injury, is high-stepping to get loose.
Daijun Edwards, the running back who missed the opener with a knee injury, is running routes with the running back so he appears to be good to go.
Backup left tackle Austin Blaske isn’t dressed out. He has a brace on his right knee.
