Dominik Szoboszlai, the Hungarian midfielder, is expected to be fit for Liverpool’s trip to Singapore. The 20-year-old suffered a minor injury during the recent preseason training camp in Austria. However, medical tests have shown that he is on the road to recovery and should be available for the team’s upcoming friendly match against Crystal Palace. The Hungary international was left out of the squad for Monday’s behind closed doors friendly against German second-tier outfit Greuther Furth after picking up an injury in training.

The £60 million ($77m) summer signing from RB Leipzig turned his ankle during a session on Saturday but the problem is only minor and he was only left out as a precaution.

Liverpool are confident that Szoboszlai will recover in time for Thursday’s flight to Singapore.

When asked about the injury Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp told the club’s website: “He rolled his ankle slightly in training. Everybody is super-positive about it.

“If we had a Premier League game today he could play but we don’t take a risk. We will see what we’ll do with the Leicester game after the travel. But for the Bayern game he will be ready, definitely.”

Jurgen Klopp’s side will be spending a week in the Far East with games against Leicester City and Bayern Munich.
