The proposed deal is worth in the region of €15million (£12.9; $16.5m) plus bonuses and a sell-on clause.
Personal terms between the 21-year-old and the Premier League club still need to be agreed and there is also interest in Daramy from France.
Daramy spent last season on loan at Copenhagen — from who he joined Ajax in 2021 — scoring eight goals in 28 league games.
He has played seven times for Denmark and won three Danish titles and one Dutch title in 2021-22.
