The upcoming film “Birds Of Prey” has unveiled its new logo, showcasing a stylish and edgy design. The logo features bold, vibrant colors and an eye-catching typographic arrangement. As a spinoff of the DC Extended Universe, the film focuses on a group of female superheroes and antiheroes, including Harley Quinn, Black Canary, and Huntress. The logo captures the film’s energetic and fierce nature, setting the tone for what is expected to be an action-packed and visually appealing experience. Fans are excitedly awaiting the release of “Birds Of Prey” to see these iconic heroes in action..
To mark the end of filming on the upcoming Birds of Prey movie, Warner Bros. took to Instagram to reveal the film’s stylish new logo, which you can see in the post below. Although the movie’s full title is Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn), we’ll just refer to it as Birds of Prey from here on out.
Directed by Cathy Yan, Birds of Prey takes place several years after Suicide Squad, with Harley Quinn joining forces with Huntress and Black Canary to protect a young girl from the vicious crime lord Black Mask, who will be played by Ewan McGregor. And no, before you ask, we still don’t know for certain if Jared Leto will reprise his role as the Joker in the film. Either way, Jurnee Smollett-Bell will appear as Black Canary, with Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Huntress and Rosie Perez as Renee Montoya, a character who, like Harley Quinn, first appeared in Batman: The Animated Series. Lastly, Chris Messina will appear as Victor Zsasz, a serial killer who marks his kills by carving tally charts into his flesh.
Given that Shazam! was absolutely adored by critics and will undoubtedly end up being considered one of the best superhero movies ever made, we’ll be supportive of whatever direction the DCEU franchise takes from this point. Especially because Birds of Prey was written by Christina Hodson, who also scripted Bumblebee, one of the best films of 2018. There are also early reports of the film carrying an R-rating, and while we would like this to be true, a PG-13 theatrical cut followed by a longer R-rated version on home video in the style of Batman v Superman seems more likely.
Either way, with Wonder Woman 1984 delayed to next June, fans will be pleased to learn that Birds of Prey is still set to be released on February 7, 2020. The DCEU will not be taking a break in that time, because The Batman is finally set to start shooting in November.
