His prowess caught the eye of coach Randhir Singh during Northern Railway’s trials, landing him a position as Head TE with Indian Railways. This role allowed him to compete nationally as a defender. Later, he transitioned into the Pro Kabaddi league in 2016, playing as a raider, with his inaugural season commencing in the league’s third year.

Impressed by his exceptional performances at the Senior National Kabaddi Championship and Federation Cup, the Bengaluru Bulls team decided to select Pawan during the Pro Kabaddi League’s third season. In his debut season, he managed to rack up 45 raid points and 8 tackle points over 13 matches. In the following seasons, Pawan displayed his talent with the Gujarat Fortune Giants and Tamil Thalivas, earning significant raid and tackle points. He earned the prestigious title of the best raider in the 6th, 7th, and 8th seasons. In the ninth season, he was drafted by Tamil Thalaivas for a whopping 2.26 crore, making him the most expensive player in the history of the league.

Blocked by his coach
Bengaluru Bulls head coach Randhir Sehrawat disclosed that he blocked the former captain of the franchise Pawan Sehrawat on his social media. Pawan left the Bulls and joined the Tamil Thalaivas but unfortunately, got injured in the first match of the tournament itself. Randhir said that he blocks almost everyone during the league but he unblocked Pawan and had a word with him. The Bengaluru Bulls coach added that it will be better for the league if Pawan recovers from his injury soon.
“But I unblocked Pawan and asked him about his health. Then we had a personal chat. I think it is good for the league if he comes back soon. He has a huge fan following here in Bengaluru also. You will see he has a lot of fans behind him when he comes to play. It will be beneficial for the league if the number one raider of last three seasons plays,” Randhir continued.
