Netflix has announced the release date for the highly anticipated sequel of the hit film “To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before.” The film, titled “To All the Boys: P.S. I Still Love You,” will be available to stream on February 12, 2020, just in time for Valentine’s Day. The news has generated excitement among fans of the first film, which follows the love story of Lara Jean Covey and Peter Kavinsky, played by Lana Condor and Noah Centineo respectively. The sequel promises to deliver more romance and drama, as Lara Jean discovers that relationships can be more complicated than she imagined..
Netflix took to twitter to announce the release date of To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before sequel, entitled P.S: I Still Love You, sticking to the title from Jenny Han’s book series the films are adapted from. The film has a release date of February 12th, 2020, and while we are grumpy we have to wait so long for the sequel, Netflix’s chosen date is no coincidence, since it falls around Valentine’s day. Everyone’s always eager for a little love during Valentine’s day, and sitting down to watch a sweet romance would definitely be on the books for me.

Lana Condor and Noah Centineo, the stars of the first movie, are resuming their roles as Lara Jean Covey and Peter Kavinsky. They are joined by new cast member Jordan Fisher, who plays John Ambrose McClaren. McClaren is one of the boys who receives a letter from Lara Jean, but he never makes an appearance until the end of the movie – essentially the movie’s way of teasing a sequel.

Before we even get the sequel, the third film is also announced to be in production, and will follow the last book in the series Always and Forever, Lara Jean. Author Jenny Han never intended to have a third book, intending for books one and two to be “two halves of a heart”. However, 2016 was a tumultuous year for Han due to the elections, which got her thinking about her old characters, and feeling a need to be comforted by them, which resulted in a third book.
While we eagerly await the sequel, maybe it would be a good thing to revisit the first film on Netflix – more Noah Centineo is never a bad thing, unless we’re talking about the horrendous movie Swiped.
