Avengers: Endgame, the highly anticipated superhero film, has finally unveiled its full-length trailer. The trailer offers fans a glimpse into the aftermath of the catastrophic events that took place in the previous installment, Infinity War. It showcases the remaining Avengers, including Iron Man, Captain America, and Black Widow, as they band together to devise a plan to defeat the powerful villain, Thanos, and restore balance to the universe. Packed with intense action sequences and emotional moments, the trailer has generated immense excitement among fans worldwide. The film’s release on April 26th is eagerly awaited, promising an epic conclusion to the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Phase Three..
Just one month away from release, Avengers: Endgame has been cutting it mighty fine with revealing footage of the film, with only one teaser trailer which released back in December.
This has fortunately changed today as Marvel has finally dropped a full trailer of the film, which holds a lot of callbacks to previous entries in the franchise.
The trailer begins with Tony Stark recalling the events of how he became Iron Man, the very first Marvel Cinematic Universe film. In black and white footage, Tony breaks out of the first model of his Iron Man suit in the desert, his voice over stating that “it seems like a thousand years ago I fought my way out of that cave, became Iron Man”. Presumably talking to his partner, Pepper Potts, he continues: “I know we said no more surprises, but I was really hoping to pull off one last one”, Implying Stark is staging something big in hopes of returning to Earth.
More black and white footage follows, showcasing the events of Captain America: The First Avenger, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Thor and Avengers: Infinity War. Interestingly, only the colour red is visible in these black and white scenes, which implies some major subtext is involved. Blood is the first thought that comes to mind as some of the scenes shown involved death in some form, including Peggy’s funeral and the deaths of Falcon, Scarlet Witch and Black Panther.

Furthermore, other interesting footage seen includes Captain Marvel’s introduction to the Avengers team, specifically conversing with Thor, Hawkeye and Ant-Man’s return, a lot of training from Black Widow and perhaps most importantly, Rocket riding on War Machine’s shoulder. It seems very clear the trailer is still hiding a lot of secrets, as a lot of the footage appears to be from early segments of the film, which could potentially be three hours long.
Alongside this trailer release, Marvel Entertainment have also dropped a new poster which sports the cast of the film with a heavy purple theme to it.
Avengers: Endgame, directed by the Russo Brothers, Anthony and Joe Russo will release on April 26th 2019. The screenplay is written by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely.
The film will end Phase Three of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and will supposedly shake things up drastically for the future of the franchise.
