The Ultimate Marvel Antihero Shines in an Astonishing Black Cat Body Paint Cosplay – amazing

Felicia Hardy has become one of the Spider-Man universe’s most popular antiheroes, and in a new cosplay, @kaypikefashion shows off why Black Cat has captured the attention of so many readers. In an incredible body paint cosplay that brings the Ultimate Universe version of Black Cat to life, the talented cosplayer shows off a striking ensemble that captures the hero’s look in an extremely unique way.

Black Cat first appeared in The Amazing Spider-Man #194 by Marv Wolfman and Keith Pollard, as Felicia Hardy would become an important figure in Spider-Man’s life. With the ability to alter luck in her favor, Black Cat is one of the Marvel Universe’s best thieves, as her heists often throw her into conflict with Spider-Man. Black Cat and Spider-Man have been romantically paired in the comics many times but Felica’s become more of a trusted ally in modern comics than his girlfriend. Despite the character’s popularity, Black Cat’s costumed look has never appeared in live-action films, as Felicity Jones’ version of Felica Hardy in The Amazing Spider-Man 2 never made the transformation into her iconic thief persona.

On her Twitter account, artist, cosplayer, and streamer @kaypikefashion shared her take on the Ultimate version of Black Cat. That version of Black Cat was attracted to Spider-Man as a hero, but upon unmasking him during a particularly tantalizing moment and seeing his boyish appearance, she panicked, threw up, and left him hanging after he revealed his true self.  The Ultimate Black Cat wore a slightly different costume than her Earth-616 counterpart, as she wore transparent goggles on her eye-mask, had cat ears, and wore a blonde wig. The body paint cosplay manages to bring those details to life, as it’s hard to believe the majority of the Black Cat look is made from paint.

If you click through on @KayPikeFashion’s body paint cosplay video above, you can see her holding a pearl necklace as Black Cat seems to have just pulled off a successful heist. The Marvel Comics antihero looks like she was pulled right from the pages of the Ultimate Spider-Man comic.

It’s not unusual to see Black Cat cosplays, as Felicia Hardy’s costumed persona is a popular character for cosplayers to tackle. But, with the use of body paint and tackling the Ultimate version of the Marvel Comics antihero opposed to the Earth-616 version, @KayPikeFashion created something striking and unique. It’s a great spin on Black Cat that is as high-effort as it gets when it comes to a single cosplay.
