Thanos, the supervillain from Marvel’s Avengers franchise, has become a trending topic on Google. With the release of Avengers: Endgame, the character has gained significant attention. Fans are rushing to search for information about Thanos, as his storyline and actions in the movie have sparked curiosity and intrigue. This surge in searches highlights the enduring popularity of the Marvel universe and the impact it has on pop culture. So, if you’re not familiar with Thanos yet, a quick Google search will surely provide you with all the information you need..
Just before we all shuffle into a weekend bound to be filled with a tonne of sad deaths, you really should go on over to Google and search “Thanos” whenever you get a spare second.
Once the results page has loaded (and, god willing, no news article from the Metro or The Express or another click-swamp provides spoilers), you should notice the Infinity Gauntlet right in the knowledge panel for the Mad Titan himself.
Click that, and just like his big screen counterpart does in Infinity War, half of the results will disappear, dust-y animations and all.
Funnily enough, if you click the Gauntlet again, the Time Stone will activate and bring the search results back.
Pretty neat, right? I don’t feel like it’s an ad by Marvel, just a cool little nod from Google who have previous for easter eggs like these. The no internet dinosaur is surely owed his own console franchise.
We’ve seen Endgame, which is due to break one million box office records, and gave it a good score as one of the best possible goodbyes for “The Infinity Saga”, as it is now known. If you can’t handle watching the movie, you could always go over to Fortnite right now and take the L on some sweaties as Thanos.

Google has added an Easter egg to commemorate the release of “Avengers: Endgame.” By searching “Thanos” on Google, users can find the Infinity Gauntlet in the knowledge panel and click it to see half of the search results disappear as animated dust. Clicking the Gauntlet again brings the search results back. This Easter egg is a nod from Google and not an advertisement by Marvel. “Avengers: Endgame” is expected to break box office records and is being hailed as a great conclusion to “The Infinity Saga.”
