Warner Brothers just released the trailer for Wonder Woman 1984, and I have to give props to whoever made the trailer. There are snippets of action, it is scored to a remix of New Order by Blue Monday and the plot isn’t laid bare for us. Wonder Woman also swings her lasso from bolts of lightning, and if that isn’t bad-ass enough for you, I don’t know what is.
We have moved from the darker, bleaker setting of World War 1 to the more fun, colourful vibe of the 80s. It’s not all fun and games though, since the time period is also one that was defined by the Cold War.
